The past week was a week of firsts!
My big girl, Erika, started 1st grade! She loves being at school all day long. She loves recess and PE and eating lunch at school. She also really likes her teachers (she has two; an AM teacher and a PM teacher) and she is quickly making friends with her other classmates (24 students in her class). I love that she is growing up, but really miss her during the day! The nice trade off, though, is that she is very loving and talkative to me when she gets home. I love that part of my day!
Laurel went into her preschool classroom to meet her teacher, Mrs. McAdams. Erika was in the same classroom with the same teacher two years ago so that is helping Laurel feel more confident! I am so happy for her to become more independent and an individual!
Erika had her first soccer game of the season. This year, she is on a team of 12 girls. They play 4 on 4 and split into two teams on game day to give the girls more playing time. I am so proud of how much she has grown and learned from last year! She even scored a goal and had a few assists in her first game!
My sweet sweet Laurel started preschool! She had her backpack on all morning on the first day of school....she was ready to go! When we got to preschool, she was excited! She became a little nervous when the kids actually started going in the classroom, but once she saw Mrs. McAdams, she ran in and gave her a big hug! Then, she sat down at her seat to start painting. The only question she had for me before leaving for preschool was, "Do you think my teachers will think I'm cute?" This girl is definitely going places!
My babies....who are getting too big to be babies anymore!
Confidently walking to class.
So excited!
Levi enjoyed being with me all morning. And eating donuts all by himself! He did not stop talking to me from the time we dropped off Laurel until we picked her up. He very well might wear me out quicker than the three kids do together!
