Candyland

Sarah solidified her "coolest aunt" status by creating Candyland for the kids to visit.  We went to her house under the pretense of a visit, but I think the kids knew something exciting was happening.  Backing up....at the beginning of summer, I made a summer wish list of activities with the kids.  Levi's only request was "go to Candyland".  Erika immediately told him there was no such thing as Candyland.  Sarah and I wanted to make Levi's dream come true and, although it took us all summer, we finally were able to give him his wish!
Sarah created a life size Candyland board in her house complete with different candy stations for the kids to visit.  On the door of her house, she taped the board game "Candyland" up and the kids were so excited once they saw that!

Laurel could barely contain her excitement!

The "game board" pieces led the kids to various candy stations, with bowls of candy placed throughout the "game".  I have never seen so much candy!  It was better than Halloween candy time!

The Chocolate Swamp station was the kids favorite!

And the Ice Cream Palace where they got to make their own ice cream sundaes with various toppings.

Enjoying their ice cream on the deck.

We also played Candyland.  Levi was the winner!  It was truly his special day!

Candyland continues today with all the leftover candy.  Best weekend ever!
