Our big boy turns 5 today! He is so much fun and the best little boy that God could have given our family. He loves his sisters immensely and they love him right back. Having three kids, there is usually one who is on the outside of play time, but usually it is the girls fighting over who gets to play with Levi. The past year, he has made his opinions known more vocally and will not just play what they want him to do. Rather, he speaks up for himself, often through screaming, to get them to follow his lead. I have said this a lot this year, but he is for sure demonstrating more boyish, brutish qualities than previous years. His absolute favorite thing to do is wrestle/play fight with his dad. It gets pretty intense...at the four year old level anyway! Matt lets him really take good whacks at him. But, he is also teaching Levi that it is only good to wrestle with Daddy and not his mom, or sisters, or kids at school. He got into a bit of trouble at preschool this year because he wouldn't stop bopping his friends on the head with his stuffed dinosaur that he brought to school for pajama/stuffed animal day. Definitely a new experience for me with Levi to have to deal with a more physical child! But, overall, he is still my little sweetheart! His joy and smile are contagious. He is the funniest little kid I know! His facial expressions, language, hand motions to describe things....they make everyone around him laugh! He has absolutely no problem making friends and enjoys being with other kids. He is excited to do social things like his sisters (school, sports, etc) and is getting a little antsy to start all of that. But I am glad I have more time to spend with him! With both girls at school, he and I are alone together quite a bit during the week and I love it! He is very imaginative in his play and very laid back when I ask him to run errands with me. Although he doesn't prefer to leave the house for shopping and other chores, he does it without complaining (for the most part)! He had a bit of a tough year, losing two great-grandparents and his dog, but he is very confident that they are all in heaven together and he gets to see them again one day. Levi loves Star Wars, tacos, Legos, Disneyland, and gum. He is kind, loving, funny, assertive, smart, and affectionate. He is a blessing to our family and we are so very proud of him!
