We never really liked the pink trim on our house and had plans to paint even before we bought the house. So after almost two years, we finally got to it!
The house as we bought it. Grey with a reddish-pink trim.
The first step we did (in early June) was to remove the porch railing to open it up.
Toward the end of June, Matt scrubbed the entire house to get it ready for some paint. I didn't take any pictures of him up on the extension ladder cleaning the highest peaks....but believe me it was scary watching him up so high!
After only 3 weeks, he had the entire house painted! He brushed the whole thing....using ladders and climbing onto the roof to paint the trim.
Our new blue door. We have plans to buy a new door and we are not sure we will keep the blue color on our new door. But for now, it is a royally beautiful door!
And the finished look of the house! The main color is only slightly darker than when we started, but it just looks so much more crisp and fresh. And the trim (charcoal grey) is better than the pink! We have had friends come by the house and not even recognize it! Well done, Matt!
