Laurel is becoming a bit of a pest to Erika when she is reading her books. This morning, Erika had to go to higher, safer ground to look at her book so Laurel wouldn't grab at the pages.
We have a new pet in our house. This fly has been on our ceiling for the past three days. When I first noticed it, it looked like a spider, so I got a tissue, stood on the bench and was set to smush it when it flew away. Now, it's not a typical fly, which is why I'm letting it continue to live here. It flew away from me, but flew to another point on the ceiling. Honestly, it doesn't fly around the house like a normal fly would or try to smash through the window. It's perfectly content to be on the ceiling. Let's check if it's still there....yep, hanging out on the ceiling.

I wonder if I did something like that would I actually be able to read a book once in a while without the kids pouncing on me? Erika is a smart little cookie.

The fly reminds me of the spider in "James and the Giant Peach" that gets painted to the ceiling. Does he have a name yet?
