Growing Girls

Laurel went to the doctor for her weight check yesterday. She is up to 14 lb. 7 oz. and 26 1/4". So, she gained 7 ounces in a month. The doctor is not worried about her anymore, just said that she is a tiny girl! I'm sure she will continue to gain weight and soon be "average" for her age (right now she's in the 5 to 10 percentile). Especially since she finishes off two jars of baby food per day and eats snacks on Cheerios and animal crackers throughout the day. Just wait until she gets teeth! The important part is that she is still a happy little girl!

I am tantalizingly close to declaring Erika completely potty trained. She now naps in her panties and has not had an accident. On Friday night, we attempted a full night of sleeping in panties. She did great, until she woke up yelling for Daddy that she had to go pee. We didn't make it to her room in time. So, we're not quite finished with Pull-ups at bedtime yet.

Yay for a nearly potty trained little girl! I know Lily isn't ready yet, but I really want to start that whole process and be rid of diapers before baby #2 comes along!

Lily was also in the 5 to 10 percentile for a long time. She was just little bitty. But she's up to 25-50 now (I think). I'm sure Laurel will either just be petite or have a growth spurt!

Hurray, Erika! That's quite an accomplishment, even if the nighttimes are not perfectly dry yet. With Katie, we had night accidents for quite a while after potty training, but Caleb seemed to stay dry at night from the moment he could stay dry all day. All kids are different, I guess!
