Laurel loves watching Erika! She follows her wherever she goes. And, Erika is just as crazy about her baby sister! And the TV, according to this video.

Laurel also LOVES her daddy! Her first smile (just like Erika's) was for her daddy. Every time Matt is in the room, Laurel looks around for him and then smiles like crazy!

We set up Erika's "big girl" bed this weekend. She is still sleeping in her crib, but soon Laurel will need the crib so Erika will get the bed. I wanted to set up the bed and let Erika get used to the idea of having it in the room with her so hopefully the switch to the bed won't be too bad. Now, it's just another play toy...and a bouncy one at that!

Please note in two of the videos, Erika is taking a fashion risk by wearing her dress over her clothes. Lately, she only wants to wear dresses and in order to keep her warm and prevent a tantrum, I have resorted to putting her in warm shirts and pants, and then letting her wear her dress over the outfits. It keeps us both happy.

No More Dishpan Hands

We got a new dishwasher! Matt spent yesterday installing our new dishwasher yesterday and then we spent last night listening to the lovely sound of hot water washing my dishes...without my hands scrubbing them. What an amazing husband I have!

Who remembers this classy guy?

It's Dapper Dan, circa 1970. As we are slowly unpacking our boxes, we came across some of Matt's old toys. Dapper Dan was one of the gems we found so now it's Erika's toy. She also got a wooden train set that used to be Matt's. I'm glad Dan is part of our household!

Gifts for the Family

For Valentine's Day, Erika made her mom, dad, and sister presents, with the help of Aunt Sarah. While spending the night at Aunt Sarah's house, Erika made us cupcakes, cards, and photo frames. Here is the evidence.

Moved In

Well, we are now in our new house! We had friends and family come help us move from our rental house to this house this weekend. Erika, Laurel, and I spent a fun, relaxing weekend far removed from the work at my sister's house. It made much more sense for the two little ones to not be around for the big move. Now, we are here and thoroughly enjoying our new house! I'll post pictures once there are not boxes and stacks of "things to put away" all over the house!
