You Never Know.....

You just never know what might happen to you while you are on the toilet. Fortunately, Laurel is ready for anything!

Earthquake? Ceiling falling in on you? Don't worry, she's got a hard hat.

Sudden famine? No worries....she has her snack.

Just Because

My mom informed me that she was in desperate need of pictures of Levi. So, I figure why deny all my friends and family the privilege of seeing my adorable 6-week old boy?

Handsome little guy.

Giggly little guy.

On an unrelated subject, I am addicted to the marvelous creation my sister made over the Christmas holiday eating season: Peanut butter sandwiched between two Ritz crackers and the whole caboodle dipped in melted white chocolate. It is pure heaven! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

No Wonder

No wonder they like to go to Aunt Sarah's house. They get to:

Eat ice cream sandwiches.

Dance on the table.

And sleep in their princess castle.

Hammar Family Weekend

Photo documentation of how we spent our weekend:

Watching football.

Playing robot with costume made by Daddy. (Daddy = creative. Mommy = not.)

Running through the house with blankets on our heads. Mainly a game for the children.

Boys vs. Girls

When we found out we were having a boy, one of my first thoughts was, "Now I won't be able to dress my baby in cute clothes!" I did not realize that dressing boys was equally as fun as dressing girls! Thanks to our good friends who have gifted us with new clothes and barely worn hand-me-downs, Levi is the best dressed baby boy around! It cracks me up when babies have sayings on their clothing that is ironic or funny because they have no clue that they are being funny. A lot of Levi's clothing have "future quarterback" or "future lumberjack" or "Daddy's fishing buddy" printed on them. I laugh every time I pull those out because he has no clue what a football is, or what a lumberjack does, or who Daddy is. Here are some of the handsome little guy's outfits!

Bundled in his too-big snowsuit for his first trip to Target.

This could be a miniature version of a teenagers polo shirt complete with undershirt.

Not happy with his Grandpa-like Christmas outfit. But he is adorable!

"Daddy's Little Builder". No clue what a hammer, drill or wrench even is!

Two Years Old

Today is my sweet baby girl's second birthday. Laurel is such a blessing to our family! She is so incredibly sweet and is fairly easy going. She is getting a little more of an attitude the older she gets, but for the most part, she goes with the flow. I love listening to her every increasing vocabulary. She is getting to be a really good talker! She is very patient with me as I try and figure out what exactly she is saying. It's adorable listening to her when she is saying something *really* important......she'll get right in my face and enunciate her words until I finally figure it out. Laurel is very good at playing with her big sister......she is usually up for playing any game Erika suggests. Laurel is very smart and will "read" any book to her baby dolls. She memorizes the shorter stories we read to her and then repeats them when she is reading.
I am truly a blessed mommy with this little girl! She is adorable, kind, funny, smart and we couldn't be happier with our daughter! Happy birthday Laurel......you are a wonderful part of our family!

Monkey Party

Laurel had her birthday party with her friends yesterday. Pizza, cupcakes and playing with all the girls' new toys.....so much fun!

A monkey helped Laurel celebrate her birthday. She loves monkeys, henceforth, the theme for her party.

No monkey party is complete without monkey cupcakes.

She was one tired girl. The hazard of having a party during normal nap time.

Cutest 2 year old!
Mmmmm.......monkey cupcakes. Actually, she just licked the frosting off!
Opening her presents with her friends.

Dolls, books, clothes......great birthday for our little girl!
