Camping

We were so lucky to camp with Grandpa and Grandma Hammar and Jacob this year!  We spent two nights at Beverly Beach State Park.  Camping seems to be the kids' love language....they love the food, the constant activity, the dirt, and the disregard of all time.

July

We hosted Matt's family for the Fourth of July.  It was a beautiful day and the cousins had a great time playing together!

Sarah and I took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge for a few nights.  They love that place and love anytime they can go swimming!

The kids participated in a mini soccer camp.  Laurel didn't want to go at first, but once Erika and Levi came home and told her how much fun it was, she decided to participate!  I can't wait to watch all the kids next month on their soccer teams!

The kids have a slumber party with each other about once a week.  They were excited to sleep in the living room one night so they could "stay up until midnight to see the lights in town".  I think they made it to about 9:00pm before falling asleep.

Matt and Erika rode in the Model 'A' with a George Fox alumnus during the Newberg Old Fashioned Festival.

And these two watched the parade from the sidelines.

A Few Months Back

So, it's August.  But way back in June, the girls had a field day to celebrate the last day of school.

And just like that, the school year was over!

Laurel earned a "Bananas for Reading" award for the most points of all first graders in a reading quiz game the librarian ran all year.
