The Week in Pictures

Levi loves playing in this rock area. Laurel helped by banging the big rocks onto his toes. Judging from his face, she must have just dropped one on his toes.

The girls spent some time making pictures for Aunt Sarah.

Levi discovered he can take the caps off markers. Hilarity ensued.

Levi found a box to play with. What a cutie!

We played in the front yard in between rain showers.

Hammar Time

We have been somewhat busy lately, and my blog updates have suffered! With the approach of spring, we have been getting outside as often as possible....as long as the rain stays away! There have also been a lot of fort building, teddy bear slumber parties, and other indoor activities to keep us busy. Highlights of the past few weeks include:

Laurel is working hard on writing her letters. She can identify almost all her letters (she misses D, Y, and Z) and can write her name. The top "Laurel" was written by her as well as the "H" that looks like a 3 year old did it!

On Saturday, we were at Home Depot while they had one of their kids build it projects. The girls got little Home Depot aprons and got to work making their projects.

Erika made a pencil box and Laurel made a coaster holder with two coasters.

Levi played with all the tools and scooted the buckets around on the floor.

Today, this spunky little girl went to register for kindergarten. I am fine (today) with her growing up, but come September, I might have a little more reservations!

She found the Cat in the Hat inside the elementary school lobby and wanted her picture taken with it.

This and That

Levi had his 15 month check up yesterday and is still a healthy, smart, growing boy! He weighs just over 25 pounds and 32.5 inches tall. The doctor was quite impressed with his language understanding and how much he tries to tell us. He has about 10 or 15 words that we can decipher enough to get what he is saying, but I see a language explosion soon! He is constantly pointing at things and blabbering like he is telling us the best story and it will only be a few months before he has enough vocabulary to really get his point across. Here is what a perfect little 15 month old boy looks like.

Last weekend, Matt bought the kids an ATV. They are really excited to ride it! This weekend will be spent getting it ready to ride, which will probably be just around the front yard for a while. Hopefully they don't run into our newly painted picket fence.

Wyatt turns 6 years old today. So far on his birthday, he got to eat Levi's pancake that he didn't pay attention to, eat Levi's peanut butter sandwich that he held out during lunch, lay in the sunshine in the backyard, and eat a doggy biscuit. He is still the best dog....so good with the kids and so cute! He sleeps a lot the older he gets, but he still loves to be outside with us and bark at everyone who passes the house. Happy birthday PupperNugget!

And, some videos for your enjoyment.

Levi and the slide. His new favorite park toy.

Laurel has been helping Levi with his colors. He is less than enthusiastic about it.
