Preschool Graduation

This was Laurel's last week of preschool!  On Wednesday, she had an end of the year carnival complete with games, prizes, and a bounce house!  Levi and I joined her for lunch and then for the fun.

On Thursday, she got on her best dress to wear to her graduation ceremony!

She requested a selfie before we left.

At school, she put on her tiny little graduation cap and gown and lined up with her classmates.

My little graduate!  She performed her role perfectly....get her medallion, get her certificate, then smile for the cameras!

Laurel was also one of a small handful of students who received a certificate for having 100% homework completion throughout the year.  She is all set for kindergarten!  Just moments before this photo was taken, she poked herself in the eye with the corner of her diploma.

Laurel and the best preschool teacher, Mrs. McAdams!  This was Erika's preschool teacher as well and will hopefully be Levi's teacher in two years!

One last picture in her class room with Aunt Sarah and some superheroes.

We are so proud of you, Laurel!

Memorial Weekend

We started off our Memorial Day weekend with new haircuts for these cuties!

On Friday, we drove to Yakima to spend the weekend with my grandparents.  Thanks to their huge driveway, the kids got a lot of scooting time in on Saturday morning.

We found a local park to play at while Matt and my grandpa worked on the Model 'A' and my grandma took a rest from the excitement that was going on in her house.

Back at my grandparents, Matt sprayed the kids down with a hose.  It wasn't terribly hot....about 80 degrees....but any time the kids get to be wet they love it!

On our drive home on Sunday, we decided to stop at Multnomah Falls.  The kids had never been there.  Laurel and Levi had to be woken up from a car nap to go see the falls, and it was a little chilly, so they were less than thrilled with our stop.  Erika loved it!  We definitely need to come back and hike around the falls a bit with them when everyone is awake and alert.

We finished our Memorial weekend on Monday spending the day with Aunt Sarah going to Pump It Up, shopping at Target, and eating pizza for dinner.  A perfect way to welcome summer!

Mother's Weekend Fun

Any time I can prolong a celebration, I tend to do so.  This past weekend was no different as I had three glorious days on celebration with my family!  On Friday, I decided I would be doing no cooking and junk food eating for the rest of the weekend.  So we had pizza for dinner.  Saturday morning, Levi and Matt took off to a nearby pond area for some fishing.  Just look at how cute Levi is in his fishing stuff!

Ready to catch a big one!

Matt reported that Levi did pretty well fishing.  He really liked the donuts that I packed them and throwing things in the water.  No fish so it wasn't as exciting as it could have been!

While the boys did their thing, the girls and I headed out for a day of pampering.  Sarah and I went into downtown Portland for a haircut while Erika and Laurel spent the morning with Grandma.  After a delicious lunch, all us girls headed to a salon for pedicures.

My girly girls!

They adore their spa time!

After getting all pampered, we came home to a great bar-be-que dinner courtesy of Matt.

Sunday, I got to spend the day with my three little loves!  We ate out for lunch, came home and planted our vegetable garden, played in the warm sunshine that blessed our day, and had ice cream for dinner.  A perfect mother's weekend!

Mother's Day Tea

Laurel's preschool held a Mother's Day tea this past week.  It was so very sweet seeing our babies performing songs about their moms!  And, the video montage of pictures of our kids as babies and as big preschoolers set to sentimental music makes every momma cry!

My sweet Lolo!

Really getting into her song!

She is a great performer!

An Awesome Party

Erika had an awesome Lego Movie themed birthday party this year.  She invited 5 friends to come over right after school for an afternoon of games, cake, and celebration!  We were blessed with no rain for the day, which allowed the kids to be outside for most of the party.  I was not prepared with how loud and crazy six 7-year-old were going to be!!  I am still super tired today after the party.  But Erika had a great time and loves having friends to her house, so it was totally worth it!

Erika's awesome cake

We had some snacks right as they came over since they just got dismissed from school.

And then headed outside for play time on the play set

We played a game where the kids had balloons tied to their ankles and you tried to pop other people balloons without getting your balloon popped!

The balloon game was super fun!

We also tried to drop big Lego blocks into a small mason jar.  This was a challenge for everyone!

Erika and her party guests!

Cake time

And lots of fun new presents

It was a happy birthday to this sweet girl!
