Fort

Matt spent this past weekend building a new play fort for the kids.  He enclosed the lower portion of their swing set and added a bench for them to sit on.  They love it!  And we were blessed with such good weather that they got to try out the new bench while eating ice cream!

 

 

Toothless

 

Although she has plenty of teeth in her mouth still, Laurel lost her first tooth yesterday!  I suggested we try pulling it out, since the grown-up tooth was already coming in behind the baby tooth and she said, "Okay!"  What a great, drama-free child!

Beach Time

Matt and I ditched the kids last weekend to spend time at the beach.  We were so fortunate to be blessed with an absolutely beautiful beach weekend!

 

February

February was a pretty sad month.  My grandmother passed away at the beginning of the month and it is still pretty difficult for me to deal with the change.  And there were bouts of illness throughout the family.  But we did still manage to squeeze in some enjoyable days!

We got to have a visit from Uncle Jacob, Aunt Lisa, Molly and Ellie.  Lots of loud children, dancing, singing, and performing took place.

 

At the end of February, I got to join Erika and her class on a trip to OMSI.  It was so much fun!  I love a good science museum.

 

The weather was beautiful so we took advantage of it to go to the park and to the zoo to see the new lion cubs that were born earlier this year.

 

And Laurel became a superhero by attending 100 days of school.
