Videos

The sun came out this past week so Laurel got to try out her new scooter got for her birthday. She did a pretty good job, after she learned which foot was stronger to push with. It was fun being hands free since Levi can walk himself down the sidewalk now!

And, we had a small dance party to end the evening!

Random

We haven't done anything super exciting lately. Recovered from birthdays and holidays and are enjoying a less hectic schedule! Here are some random photos and tidbits from the Hammars!

Levi gets to face out the front of the car now. He enjoys it. And he enjoys sleeping in the car.

Erika went on a field trip to the grocery store with her classmates. It was fun seeing the inner workings of the store!

Laurel is addicted to face paint. And to being a kitty cat.

Seriously, this is how this kid looks every time he wakes up. Love him so much!

The kids got a new toy. Laurel was the first to try it out!

Every picture I take of my baby girl, she looks more and more grown up!

The kids like to dance. Now that Levi is walking, he gets to join in the fun. Or the torture, however you want to look at it.

Birthday Party

Once again, my kids allowed me to play party host for their birthday! Laurel had a fairy birthday party to celebrate turning 3!

For Christmas, Laurel received Tinkerbell fairy figurines. They were perfect for her cake!

The fairy party guests after making fairy crowns and fairy wands at the party.

Pin the wand on the fairy. Funny side note.....none of the party guests wore the blindfold to play the game, yet the wand never ended up on the fairy's hand. Silly girls!

Erika bought Laurel a necklace and headbands for her birthday using her allowance money. She was so excited to be able to give Laurel a present that she thought she really wanted!

Opening her doll from Aunt Sarah. She loves it!

First Round of Birthday

Laurel celebrated her birthday with just the family last night with pizza and ice cream. She opened her gifts from us....a helmet and a scooter....and loved them! Really, the helmet should be a daily part of her outfits, as she is prone to falling or somehow injuring herself. But, for now, she just has to wear it when she scoots!

Checking out the new scooter.

So excited to have a helmet!

Party guests.

Happy 3 year old!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Happy birthday to this sweet little girl!

Laurel is a fun, active, funny, smart, adorable, sometimes stubborn, wonderful member of our family! She is constantly moving. Her favorite toy is her Hippity Hop.....honestly, she hops around the house more than she walks! She jumps even if she's not on the hippity hop, on her knees or feet or bottom. She is constantly asking me to "watch how fast she is" and will proceed to run through the house. She is very creative in her play and is often a puppy or a kitty, crawling around the house yipping or meowing. Laurel loves playing with Erika and is super easy going and will play whatever Erika suggests. Laurel is also a really good big sister and helps keep Levi out of trouble by giving him appropriate toys to play with and telling me when he is "being naughty". She loves dogs and My Little Ponies and Strawberry Shortcake and dressing up as a princess or ballerina. She loves peanut butter/no jelly sandwiches, apple slices, bananas, cookies, fruit snacks, peas, spaghetti, tacos and hamburgers. Laurel is working on letter identification and knows about 10 letters. She likes reading books and loves showing Levi picture books. She is very slight so it is still convenient to cuddle with her and pick her up and carry her, which she loves! Laurel lets us know when she doesn't want to do something and has been known to sit at the kitchen table for 30 minutes with food in her mouth instead of just swallowing! God was gracious to give us a middle child who is a great little sister and a great big sister! We are so blessed to be able to raise this kind, happy, beautiful little girl. We love you so much Laurel!
