February

February was a fun and busy month!  The kids are doing so great with both Matt and I working pretty long hours and they are helping a lot more with chores and cooking.  We are so proud of them!  They did manage to have some fun last month as well.

Erika went with a friend to a bouldering gym over President's Day.  She loved rock climbing!

On Valentine's Day, Matt and I took the kids to our annual date night.  Levi and I went to Shari's where he ate a plate of bacon and Matt took the girls to Black Bear Diner.  So much fun to share Valentine's Day with our little loves!

For a Valentine's Day treat, the kids insisted they could tell the difference between brands of chocolate.  So I bought 4 different chocolate brands and had the kids do a blind taste test.  They were right!  They could tell the difference between brands!

We woke up to a perfectly snowy day one Wednesday.  Unfortunately, most of Newberg was not snow covered so school wasn't canceled.  We had late start, however, and the kids and I took advantage of that to do some sledding before school started.

Erika and the rest of the 5th grade class at Crater Elementary took part in an Invention Convention.  The kids had to come up with a solution to a problem they faced.  Erika invented a hair dryer stand that can dry your hair and body while you get ready in the morning.  No more wasted time with one hair dryer and a tired arm for her in the morning!
